We understand that healthcare costs can be a concern. That is why we are completely transparent about what you can expect — from treatment costs to reimbursement by your health insurer.
Good to know: menopause care, contraception and PMS/PMDD treatment are all covered by the basic insurance package. Most patients are reimbursed 60-100% of the costs.
How does reimbursement work?
To get your treatment reimbursed, there are a few things you should know. We explain it step by step so you know exactly where you stand.
What is a DBC?
DBC stands for Diagnosis Treatment Combination. This is the standard way specialist medical care is registered and invoiced in the Netherlands. A DBC covers all care activities within a specific period. The first DBC lasts 3 months, follow-up DBCs last 4 months.

We do not have contracts with health insurers. Menopause care is included in the basic package of all health insurers. To claim healthcare costs, you need a referral from your GP or occupational physician. The insurer then reimburses approximately 60-100% of costs, depending on your policy.
You receive the invoice directly and submit it yourself to your health insurer for reimbursement.
The deductible is applied annually before your insurer reimburses.
